You will be prompted for an administrator password and computer name. The system Name and Administrator Password window will appear.Select the appropriate licensing mode for your organization. Setup will display the Licensing Modes window with two choices of licensing modes.Type the Windows 2000 Setup CD-Key in the appropriate fields. Setup will prompt you for the Windows 2000 Setup CD-Key.Applications that you install on the system later will use this information for the product registration and document identification. The names selected will be used as default computer names. In the Name field, type your name, and in the Organizations field, type the organization's name. Setup will display the Personalize Your Software window which will prompt you for your name and organization name.NOTE: You may modify the regional settings, after you have installed Windows 2000, by using Regional Options in the Control Panel. Make changes if you do not install the system in the U.S. T he Regional Settings window will default to U.S.Windows setup will automatically install and configure devices in the computer.Windows setup will create a Welcome window when Windows 2000 is fully loaded. The system restarts to the graphical portion of setup (Windows 2000 setup wizard).Windows setup will begin to format the selected partition and copy the appropriate files onto the selected partition.Select the NTFS file system is used (unless you dual boot with an operating system that does not support NTFS). After you select a drive to partition, setup will prompt you to choose a file system.Delete a Partition Do not use this option new systems are shipped unpartitioned. ![]() Type the amount of space (in megabytes) and press Enter. Press the C key you will be prompted to indicate how much available space to allocate from the non-partitioned drive.
